Evocation of Bune
I performed the Opening by Watchtower according to Summoning Spirits by Konstantinos. After this, I took the seal of Bune and my sword and seated myself in front of the mirror. I meditated on the seal, “feeling” the word “Bune” echo throughout the astral.
Once I felt the link was established, I looked into the mirror and recited my conjuration. It was this: “By the Supreme Authority of Dryghtyn, She Who Sits Upon The Black Throne, by the powers of Cerridwen and Cernunnos, keepers of life, death and rebirth; and by the Divine Names Elohim, Adonai and YHVH, I summon, stir and call thee forth, O Spirit Bune, great Duke of hell, to appear before me in this black mirror in a fair form.”
It took a bit of time, so instead of continuing to recite my conjuration word for word, I continued my skrying and repeated a paraphrase of my conjuration multiple times. I also commanded Bune to appear before me visibly in the mirror.
Eventually, I felt an energy shift in the room and then commanded Bune to appear again. I had the “still small voice” phenomona, saying, “I am here.” I began to get a sense of a facial outline in the mirror, sort of smokey or milky in appearance. At some point, I seem to recall seeing the fire triangle appear, though I don’t know why. At any rate, I just accepted that this might be all I was going to get for now, so I proceeded to read my command to Bune.
I asked several times if it was clear what I wanted, and the reply was a feeling of the affirmative. I then gave Bune the terms of my payment. He seemed to “giggle” at one particular part of my payment, but accepted the terms I gave him. He seemed a bit reluctant to take what I offered, but he did.
After Bune agreed to everything, I gave him license to depart and proceeded to finish up with the Closing by Watchtower. The whole thing took about an hour. There really seemed to be no unpleasantness, except when I said the 2nd or 3rd time, “Bune, I require your services.” He replied with, “Well, what is it, then?” I got a slight sense that he was a bit perturbed or impatient, perhaps frustrated by my repetition.
I also made it clear that, once I received the results I asked for, and paid the price agreed upon, that our transaction was complete. He agreed. We shall see.
Additionally, later on, I had thoughts that perhaps I might want to give Bune a bit of an extra incentive by paying him twice – once before the result and once after the result. However, it was brought to my attention that this thought could be an impression implanted by Bune, since Goetic entities always seem to want more. The idea makes sense. In addition, though we’d all love the opportunity to be paid double-time for a job, we DON’T get that pay until AFTER the job is done, and paying him once before could just be a method to get his payment and then not come through on the results. He is a Goetic entity, after all, and not all entities in the universe are honest and will back up their word. So there ya’ go.
